New aquatics center in the heart of Springville, we are excited to be working with Hogan on this project. We are responsible for the typical duct and equipment. Our manufacturing shop has done an outstanding job of fabricating all of the duct for this project. We are glad to be in the HVAC business so we can do jobs such as this one. Most of the job is exposed, which takes careful and thoughtful work.

Also located on Pawnee Station property is the Manchief Power Plant, a 250 MW gas-fired combustion turbine plant. Manchief is owned by Capital Power Income LP. Xcel Energy purchases the electric output of Manchief.

Southwest Water Reclamation Facility

In 1999, the City recognized the need for a satellite facility to support the community’s increasing wastewater treatment and reclaimed water distribution demands in southwest Henderson. Currently, wastewater in the City is conveyed to the Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) at Pabco and Galleria for treatment. Then, the highly treated wastewater that is re-used to irrigate golf courses is pumped back across town. The addition of the Southwest Water Reclamation Facility (SWRF), located at Eastern and St. Rose, enables the City to treat wastewater in southwest Henderson and provide high quality re-use water to local customers without having to convey all the wastewater across town.

This project included construction of a solids dewatering facility with a design capacity to accommodate solids produced. A new sludge transfer pump station was constructed at the central plant, consisting of wet wells for primary and thickened waste activated sludge, six processing cavity pumps and associated piping and controls.

River Mountain Water Treatment

Las Vegas, Nevada

With one of the largest capital improvement programs in the United States, the Southern Nevada Water Authority chose Lake Mead Constructors, an internal joint venture led by Kiewit Pacific Co., a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation, to construct this $146 million 150-mgd water treatment plant. Twenty months into the project, the owner decided to expand the scope of construction to include an additional $31 million 150-mgd phase. Connected to a 108-in.-dia. intake structure, the facility includes ozone treatment and filtration facilities, and associated support facilities for chemicals storage and power supply.
